oh god someone tell me to draw more often
Also, I repainted bits of that painting I put up here awhile ago. Then used photoshop wizardry to pull it further back form the precipice of crap mountain. And then I watermarked it because I am terrified of the internet.

Brendan Regulinski. First, I just wanna say THANK YOU for posting something! I was beginning to feel like a broken record trying to get someone other than myself to post (hint hint to mister "i can't get my floridian butt in gear for the 10 minutes it would take to post just two or three items").
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the old painting looks much better than it did the last time you posted it (not that it was bad before, just needed some tweaking). Whatever you did in photoshop, it worked. Now it's time to move onto a new piece.
As for the "gratuitous girl", she looks like an exercise from life drawing (not a bad thing). I'm partial to the technique you used with the mid-tone paper... very sculptural. KEEP DRAWING!!! And do some more finished illustrations, not just exercises/ sketches. I find it helpful to actually give myself "assignments" like we did in our portfolio class with Julie (specific parameters, market, deadline, etc.). Just a thought. It keeps me self-disciplined and gives me a feeling of "forward momentum".

People don't get inspired by negativity so rather than saying you suck, I will say you are awesome and a sexy beast.
ReplyDeleteNow draw more you dirty sonuvabitch.
